Subgroup 1 name : NSMP

Subgroup 1 number: 206

Subgroup 2 name: MMR-D

Subgroup 2 number: 264

Total number Group I Group I number Group II Group II number Group III Group III number Group IV Group IV number

Sample information

Conclusion: P16 hyperexpression appear to have a stronger prognostic impact in NSMP(no specific molecular profile )as compared to MMR-D EC.

Sample type : tissue

Sample method: immunohistochemistry/RT-PCR

Expression pattern : hyper expression

Expression elevation: As negative p16 was extremely rare (1.7% of the samples), only block type hyperexression of p16 was classified as abnormal staining.

Funtion Uniprot: Acts as a negative regulator of the proliferation of normal cells by interacting strongly with CDK4 and CDK6. This inhibits their ability to interact with cyclins D and to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein.
