Sample information

Conclusion: ProExC is a novel immunohistochemical marker for differentiating ECA from EMA and its inclusion in a panel of immunohistochemical markers including p16, ER, PR, and vimentin is recommended when there is morphological and clinical doubt as to the primary site of endocervical or endometrial origin.

Sample type : tissue

Sample method: immunohistochemistry

Expression pattern : positive(>5% )

Expression elevation: For ProExC, the staining was scored as diffuse (>80%) strong (2), focal (5% to 80%) strong (1), or negative (0) based on the nuclear staining for ProExC . For ProExC, weak cytoplasmic staining or reactivity in <5% nuclei was interpreted as negative.
