Basic information
Biomarker: IMP3
Histology type: endometrial serous carcinomas
Cohort characteristics
Country: Japan
Region: Suzuka
Followed up time :
Subgroup 1 name : positive in EC
Subgroup 1 number: 41
Subgroup 2 name: positive in control
Subgroup 2 number: 0
Total number | Group I | Group I number | Group II | Group II number | Group III | Group III number | Group IV | Group IV number |

333 | EAC | 97 | serous carcinoma (ESC) | 35 | benign endometrial samples | 201 |
Sample information
Conclusion: IMP3 is a helpful immunomarker to distinguish ESC from EAC and SPSC in endometrial cytology.(endometrioid adenocarcinoma (EAC), serous carcinoma (ESC) and surface papillary syncytial change (SPSC))
Sample type : cytology
Sample method: immunohistochemistry
Expression pattern : expression(score ≥3)
Expression elevation: The staining intensity was classified as follows: absent=0, weak=1+, moderate=2+ and strong=3+ reaction and the frequency of positive staining cells was classified as 0%=0, 1-5%=1, 6-50%= 2 and >50% stained/% cells=3. For statistical analysis, a quantitative scoring method (percentage × intensity) was used, and it ranged from 0 to 9, as previously described. Any score ≧3 was considered to be positive.
