The inclusion criteria for TEP-RARP surgery were: (i) ASA score of ≤2; (ii) D’Amico low- or intermediate_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x005f_x0002_risk organ-confined prostate cancer; (iii) prostate volume ≤80 mL by transrectal ultrasound; and (iv) patient’s BMI ≤35 kg/m2 . High-risk prostate cancer patients with indication for extended pelvic lymph node dissection (Briganti Normogram11 of ≥7% probability of lymph node involvement) were excluded from this study. Patients enrolled in the AXR-TEP group underwent preoperative counseling on the surgery and early discharge criteria by a dedicated nurse specialist.
